Question

TDA7292 with Single Supply

Hi, I made a circuit for the TDA7292 with a simple power supply as shown in the brochure. The standby and off functions work well, but the low tones become distorted when I increase the volume more. The circuit works with 12VDC. Is it because more DC voltage is needed? or do you have to make an additional modification to the output?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

at 12V (car voltage) you can expect about 4W max.

So no "ear killer" volume possible. :)

So for 40W you need +/-26VDC , or 50V total.
