What is the lowest value of series resistor that I can use to maintain stability of this amplifier.

I would like to use a series resistor of 200R to 1K to a load that will have some variable capacitance. I need to use a low power op-amp, if you chose to suggest another..

Hello Andrew,

As you probably have seen, the TSV711 is tested with acceptable stability performance with pure capacitive load up to 200pF (this is illustrated in Figure 13, p13/29 of the datasheet).

For higher capacitive loads, a series resistor can be used, as you suggested.

The chart here below shows recommended values of series resistor to ensure stability for a given capacitor value.

Hope it can answer to your question.

Best regards,

Anthony

Thanks Anthony,

The op-amp is usable in my circuit with either 4K or 1K + 100nF. Your answer is approximately what I expected.
