Cannot flash using UDE STK 4.8

Hello,

I have problems to flash a SPC5 MCU using UDE STK 4.8. I am using the PLS USB/JTAG Adapter for SPC5xxx. I have seen similar problems in this forum but I have tried different things during several hours and not solution has been reached.

I am using Microsoft Windows 10 Pro, version 1903.

I was able to use the program without problems the first day I installed it. However, problems appeared the day before. I tried also to install it in another laptop. It worked but once I shut it down and started again, it started to fail. Always with the same message.

I have tried different things:

1. Reinstall UDE.
2. Reinstall drivers from Program Files (x86)\pls\UDE Starterkit 4.8\Driver\JtagUsbDriver
3. Activate VCP (Virtual Com Port) in the device manager options.
4. Uninstall UDE, restart computer, install UDE.

Please, could you give me a new solution for this problem? This issue is delaying our team to deliver on time the software release to our customer. Thank you very much.

Hello Erwan,

We have designed a custom board using the following P/N: SPC58NN84C3RMHB and a 10-pin JTAG connector.

It is not a design problem, it seems to be a problem with the OS of the laptop.

Did you have the same issue with discovery kit ?

Debugging issue can happen with not enough power supply.
