Hello All,

I am using SPC560B54L5 discovery board and SPC5studio version 5.2.1 along with UDE 4.2 version. The setup was working fine till this time. suddenly it started giving issues.

Initially when I connect the board the PLS driver is getting detected in device manager and I can able to open the UDE and load the code. But within 2 or 3 minutes the core is getting inactive later if I check the Device manager PLS driver was unmounted. Again If I disconnect and reconnect the hardware things works fine for 2 minutes and the problem occurs again.

I tried reinstalling the UDE/PLS and USB drivers but the issue keeps repeating.

Kindly provide your suggestion is resolving the issue

Thanks in Advance,

With Regards,

R.santhamurthy

    Hello

    R.santhamurthy,

I do not think that it is a Hardware issue.

Do you go in STANDBY, STOP or HALT mode in your program (

    SPC560B54L5 discovery)

    ?

Often, when the core becomes inactive you are going to STANDBY,STOP or HALT Mode

        Best regards

                               Erwan

    Hi Erwan,

    Thanks your immediate reply.

    I am not enabling

STANDBY, STOP or HALT mode in my program. I am trying to test  the existing test applications in SPC5studio V5.2.1 (serial, ADC, EIRQ) which does not includes changing the power modes.

But still the core becomes inactive in UDE.

    Kindly share your valuable suggestion.

    With Regards,

    R.santhamurthy

    Hello Santhamurthy ,

Could you try to power supply the board (5V) ?

Could you try a new USB Cable ?

    https://www.pls-mc.com/login-a-384.html?User=SPC5UDESTKUser

i recommend you to use PLS UDE 4.8.2

Warning : you should update debug.wsx (not compliant for 4.2)

for your information , all the demos applications (SPC5Studio 5.3.0) next release will be compliant for PLS 4.8.2

        Best Regards
