    Hello ,

    SPC5Studio is based on eclipse

you can install git for eclipse by using this update site :

Tried installing the git for eclipse as given in the previous post but the installation is failing. It is showing

"The installation cannot be completed as requested".

    Attaching the screenshots here.

Facing the same issue. Were you able to find any solution ?

The issue is, the latest EGit is not compatible with SPC5 Studio. Hence we need to install the older version of EGit.

Go the archives and select one of the older version to enable EGit.

    Archives Website: https://archive.eclipse.org/egit/

I have installed https://archive.eclipse.org/egit/updates-5.10/ and it works fine.

@asn, thank you very much for your reply.

I got the EGit installed now.

But couldn't see any options for version control enabled in SPC5Studio. If its working for you, could you please share how you get it working and configured the repository.

Once it is installed, Go to Window -> Perspective -> Open Perspective -> Other and in the pop window select Git. Now you will be able to see the Git Tab in the top right corner.

    Hope this helps.

In fact , SPC5Studio is using an old version of eclipse

you should use a version compliant with SPC5Studio one.
