Hi,

I'm a trainee to STm. I use the SPC560P - DISP board. I've read that in the MCU flash memory there is the test application. I do not know how to run it.

Can anyone help me? Thanks.

    Hello Gianluca ,

on PICTUS Discovery Board ,We have 6 applications on SPC5Studio Wizard (Cf Attachment)

    1) you need SPC5xxx SPC5-UDESTK-EVAL Starterkit (4.2 is better) in order to flash an application

    Download from

    http://www.pls-mc.com/login-a-html?User=SPC5UDESTKUser

    2) Plug your your discovery board and install the drivers (FTDI USB)

    the drivers

    c:\Program Files (x86)\pls\UDE 4.2\Driver\

    3) After the compilation ''OK'', you can launch the debug from SPC5Studio and flash the software generated

    Best regards

    Erwan

    Hello Erwan,

I have the UDE platform and the drivers, but in the ''getting started'' file for this board (SPC560P - DISP) there's written ''Import the test application developed for this board (“Test Application SPC 560P-DISP Discovery Board.zip)''. Where is this zip? Inside there is a main.c. Without this file does not know how to start.

Then, there is a detailed guide on how to program this board?

    Best regards

    Gianluca

I have the getting started for SPC5 studio.

    Attached the screenshot.

    Ok. This is my board

    http://www.st.com/st-web-ui/static/active/en/fragment/product_related/rpn_information/board_photo/SPC560P-DISP%20640x4png

I choose the SPC560P50L5 then Serial and then ChibiOS-RT. But the project contains some errors. For example missing the libraries:

    ''components.h''

    ''ch.h''

    ''shell.h''

    ''chprintf.h''

    Solutions?

    Thanks.

    Best regards

    Gianluca

    Hello Gianluca ,

After importing the project from the application wizard ,

you need to click on :

    1) generate first

    2) then compile

have you updated SPCStudio 3.0.0 ==> 3.4.2 from update site ?

                       Best regards

    Hello Gianluca ,

To update SPC5Studio , you need to pass by update site

Help ==> Install new Software (Cf Attachment)

Do not forget to put some proxy settings in Preferences ==> Network

After updating , you should have in Installation Details : (cf Attachment)

On the application ''ChibiOS-RT SPC560Pxx Test Application

    for Discovery'' ,

    i have no issue ..

Do you use the Debug button (SPC5Studio) to download the firmware by PLS (memtool) ?

    Best regards

    Erwan

For the update I have this errors:

will be ignored because it is already installed.

    But my version is 3.0.

Yes I make double click in debug.wsx after the build project. When, the UDE visual platform opens and I load the out.elf file. I click on ''program all'' and I wait. The process is successful. I turn off the board and then turn on and It doesn't work.

    Hello Gianluca ,

Could you send your full application by exporting it ?

Do you succeed to put a breakpoint in main() function by PLS ?

    Serial Port is working ?

       Best regards
