Hello,

The software update complains (see below log). The proxy is correctly configured. The update list is found but when it downloads the files, the error is coming. My browser can access the jar file so the links are ok... Any suggestion?

An error occurred while collecting items to be installed

session context was:(profile=profile, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=).

    Hello Aurelien ,

the update site is well active :

    http://spc5.drive.cloudforge.com/projects/spc5releases/SPC5Studio_Update_Site/

Your problem is linked to your network configuration :

if you use a proxy :

    1) Set your ''Static'' Proxy in WINDOWS ==> PREFERENCES ==> GENERAL NETWORK CONNECTIONS like your browser

''Dynamic proxy'' is not recommended (example : zscaler)

    Use Manual Configuration (Cf Screenshot)

    HTTP and HTTPS only

Do not set your SOCKS (let empty)

if you do not use a proxy :

    Use Direct Configuration

You can try your connexion internet by using

Show View ==> Other ==> Internal Web browser

and try to connect to a web page.

Sorry Aurelien , for this you have to ask to your local IT.

Is your local IT can permit to access to internet with a tool like Eclipse ?

    Best regards

    Erwan YVIN

    Hello Aurelien ,

I have several tries for you :

Eclipse environment (from Juno to Luna) is using a cache procedure to connect by update site (p2).

    1)  Could you try to remove the cache directory in your following directory ''\eclipse\p2\org.eclipse.equinox.p2.repository\cache'' ?

Restart SPC5Studio and try the update site.

    2) Are you a local admin in your laptop ?

Anyway , to check Internet Connection by ''Internal Web browser'' from SPC5Studio is recommanded to check if your network configuration is correct.

Use a dynamic proxy by Proxy autoconfig ((*.pac) and use a web filtering tool is not recommended.

If the problem persists, i will contact you directly by mail.

           Best regards

                      Erwan

    Hello Erwan,

I asked my local IT support, they do use domain filtering but since I can access the file listed in the error log by copy/paste the link in IE, it's another reason. I deleted the cache folder you mentioned but it persists. The error log is now reduced to this file:

An error occurred while collecting items to be installed

    session context was:(profile=profile, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=).

    Unable to read repository at

    http://spc5.drive.cloudforge.com/projects/spc5releases/SPC5Studio_Update_Site/plugins/org.chibios.spc5.components.spc5hal_1.0.0.2014051516jar

    .

    Read timed out

Please find attached my network settings. I do have local admin rights on my machine.

    Regards,

    Aurélien

    Hello Aurelien ,

    Good news ;)

Update site is an important feature for SPC5Studio.

A lot of patches are delivered via this procedure.

        Best Regards

                    Erwan
