Inside the sensor such as ISM330DHCX, there is Machine Learning Core already that you can use for classification, for example to detect if pump is running or not and you can extend it also to detect some failure cases, benefit is that power consumption is very small (few uAs on top of sensor normal consumption). On STM32, STM32Cube.AI is already available and enable you to make run your Neural Networks on the biggest part of you STM32 porfolio.
