Reply to a post has gone missing

I replied to this thread previously:

My reply was the 2nd post, just before Pavel's. My post is now missing or deleted. What happened to it? It was there for quite a few days before disappearing.

 

I don't think anything nefarious is happening, but this happens every so often and I'd like to get to the bottom of it. I don't have permissions to delete posts, so I don't think it wasn't anything I did. Did a spam filter pick it up? Did a mod or admin accidentally delete? Do community admins have suitable permissions to figure out this mystery? Was the thread moved and my post missed the bus somehow?

Yeah, I get this deja-vu feeling on occasion, where I can swear I replied to a thread, but I can't find it.

It perhaps didn't register, or I got distracted and closed a tab. I also see on occasion where Reply on the Phone is near the Feedback tab on the right side, and I have to scroll the screen so the Reply is distinctly separated and I can press it AGAIN for the post to be accepted / registered.

Other times I suspect the top-post gets moved, or edited, as I type a response, and this messes things up, or flags the thread/post doesn't exist when hitting REPLY.

Thanks for reporting. I found your post moved out as a stand-alone post in the same forum board and moved it back to the thread. See it here: Re: STM32 Failure to Build - STMicroelectronics Community 

Seems that it was an accidental move by either one of the super user or moderators (only those people have the rights). I will have to check the logs and get back once I find out.

Thanks @Lina_DABASINSKAITE . I got an email notification when you moved it back, but I didn't get any notification when it got moved originally, as I normally do when threads get moved.

It was a not intended content move done by one of our moderators. Instead of moving a thread, a single reply was moved. This can happen due to replies having different URLs than a main thread.

I’ll use this as a chance to brief the team on the process once again and the importance of notifying in the correct way.
