Question

Why use a 120pF DC blocking capacitor on TESEO-VIC3DA RF input ?

Hi all,

In the datasheet of the TESEO-VIC3DA (or LIV3), it is recommended to use a DC blocking capacitor of 120pF on pin 11(RF_IN).

This value seems high for GNSS band use, the resonant frequency of the Murata GCM1555C1H121JA16 reference is much lower than 1.5GHz, can you confirm that this value is the most suitable?

If yes, why not use a lower capacitance value (e.g. 33pF) which has a minimum impedance in the GNSS band?

Thanks

Gilles
