Download the linux driver - STSW-IMG024 (search for it on st.com)

When you unzip it, skip the kernel stuff, and look at user stuff.

in the platform.c file, make sure you are on i2c-1 or change it in the code.

There's a test program in there - directory test.

There's a makefile and you can just run.

Lots of documentation in there as well for the RPi.

Thanks for your quick reply. I searched for STSW-IMG024 and I found the "GUI for VL53L5CX expansion boards" It doesn't seem to have the stuff that you mention. It is an exe file. Is that the one I should be downloading. There doesn't seem to be a zip file, just a .exe file to install the GUI

STSW-IMG025

I'm really sorry for the typo.

it's the STSW-IMG025 - Linux driver for VL53L5CX multi-zone sensor

Good evening John,

When you provided a link to STSW-IMG025 a few years ago, that link now does not provide a download link to said driver. The STSW-IMG023 is still up and provides the driver for VL53L5CX but without the linux platform integration.

Could you possibly provide me with an updated link to the image?

Thanks
Deryk

Wow, you kept a years-old link? Amazing.

Go to www.st.com/TimeOfFlight - it gets you to a product selection page. Pick your chip and scroll to tools and software. Your driver should be there. I checked. It is.
