I can't get the data transmitted faster than every 487ms or about 0.5s. And that's with the Motion Sensor Update Rate set to 40Hz. I've set the DM (Distance Mode) to short (=1), the TimingBudget to 20 ms and the InterMeasurement down to 25ms. I have the development kit STEVAL-IDB008V2 and I'm trying to flash a firmware to the blueNRG chip.I success to flash example with the BlueNRG-2 Navigator with the usb cable.Now I would like to modify an example with Atollic True Studio for STM32. Hi guys,I have STEVAL IDB008V2 DK board and install BlueNRG-2 Navigator. The board appears in device manager as a VCP10, also recognized by BlueNRG-2 Navigator (meaning flash and run is activated). However, when I try to program it using any pre-build examples in BlueNRG-2 Navigator by pressing flash and run, after a few seconds, the BlueNRG-2 Navigator is closed/disappeared and nothing happen!!I also try to program it using GUI by pressing putting the board in DFU mode, but also doesn't help!Any idea would be highly appreciated in advance!RegardsEdmond

Hi,After downloading STSW-BLUENRG1-DK v3.0.0 and installing on my windows 10 PC I can't open BlueNRG-1_Navigator.exe. When I double click on it nothing happens. But BLUENRG1_Wizard.exe does work.During installation it failed to install the STMicroelectronics (usbser) Ports (04/25/2010 1.3.1), but this is used to give you a serial port when you plug in ST hardware.I've tried running in windows 7 mode and/or administrator mode, but that didn't work.yoursChris

Hello,What is the best way to utilize the sleep state/low power feature of the SPIRIT1 device? I am using two SPIRIT1 modules (one as a transmitter and one as a receiver). Where can I download the TEConCept tool used for STEVAL-IDP004V1?I purchased the STEVAL-IDP004V2 master evaluation board and STEVAL-IDP003V1 kit and tried to run them.The manual says to use the TEConcept control tool, but I couldn't find it on the homepage of ST and TEConcept.I want to try this kit.Thanks.

While using this BlueNRG-2 sample flash code when we change our data storage address to 0x10042380 it works but only when I made that ble board boot pin ground and then high sort of reset ,then it starts working and if I change that address to 0x10070000 or 0x01050000​ then it is not showing anything on Hercules then I reset again that boot pin still it is not working. Are we doing any mistake in choosing that flash address or the code dumping is not happening after changing that flash address. We want to use some flash addresses to save our valuable data in our application and for this we want some empty flash addressess.

Hello all there,I am currently exploring a design based on a STUSB1602 USB PD-Controller. The accessory would have to behave like a classic USB HUB, provided with a Type-C receptacle - to sink power - and a Type-C connector - in DRP configuration to source/sink power to/from device.- For the Type-C receptacle - the "charger" port - I selected the STUSB4500 stand-alone USB PD Controller with a PDO contract of 5V/3A preloaded as a default configuration via the NVM.This path will provide power to change the Type-C connector configuration (UPF->DFP).- For the Type-C connector, the default role must be of course as a UPF that sinks power from the connected device (that could be a Laptop, an iPad Pro and so on).As soon as the requested voltage is available through the charging port, the configuration must be switched to to a DFP, thus providing power to the device.I chosen the STUSB1602 as a DRP controller.I am currently addressing some issues while trying to understand the final design t

When surge will be done the lab, they will surge at 1kV so every TVS can get (1000-31)/80 = 12A in theory. As 1A gives already 19V this is also above absolute ratings, 12A will be close to 28V.absolute rating inpût is 14V. for a quality product: can the device safely accept this surge above absolute ratings without influencing lifetime of the chip or do we need to select another chip with a common mode with higher than the surge or is the surge no issue due to short time and/or the extra resistors of 10R.

I am using a STEVAL-FKI433V2 to try to create a packet sniffer. The standard on-board software is clearly capable of working with the supplied Python GUI to configure the radio and listen for packets. I have been attempting to send commands to the device over a serial port, so that I can create my own simple GUI in Python. I have managed to send and received commands to set up registers and so on, but have been unable to receive any packets. There appears to be almost zero documentation for this CLI - there is a little documentation for the under C functions in the firmware. I'd be grateful for any advice on how to get going with this thing.Another approach would be to write firmware. It was not clear at all what the dependencies are that need to be satisfied in order to get CLI project to build.

Hi!I'm using BlueNRG-1 to beacon some messages.I tested a simple scenarious:100ms advertising messagesAdvertising with no connections allowed (ADV_NONCONN_IND)disable all GPIOsdisable debug printf and UARTI use the BLE_BEACON sample code with SDK 3.2.0.The board is the STEVAL-IDB007V2 and my board that just have the BlueNRG-1 and the CR2032 battery. I have ported the BLE_Throughput_EXT example for two MCU/BlueNRG2(DTM) setups to communicate with each other. I was getting around 34 kbps. When I implemented this example on a single setup and configured it to send out Notifications when connected to a simple BLE app on an iPhone, I was getting a little under 60 kbps. After disabling notifications on the iPhone while maintaining the previous connection. The MCU/BlueNRG2(DTM) setup begins transmitting at about 270 kbps. I was hoping someone could explain what is going on. I am trying to squeeze out as much throughput as I can with this setup and was wondering if I may be doing something wrong or if this is the transmission rate to be expected.

Doesn't the BLE specification already include a 3-byte link layer CRC field? Is this just for extra precaution when dealing with delicate firmware data?

I have a device sending notifications to a BlueNRG-2 Eval board (STEVAL-IDB008V2) configured as central/master. I modified the script file ATT_MTU_extended_packet_len_Master_Security.py to work with my device. Everything works until I receive a notification with an ACI_GATT_NOTIFICATION_EVENT. I try to extract the data in the Attribute_Value with Python but only get Python error messages.From the error messages, the 53 byte notification does not appear to be a list or byte array or any other iterable type. The best I can figure out is that it thinks it is an integer!! A 53 byte integer. I wasted a couple of days on this until I found the GET_LIST function in the BlueNRG GUI User Manual.I'd like to avoid wasting my time like this again. Is there documentation on the Python data types for Bluetooth events?

Is there more documentation somewhere for the BlueNRG GUI Script Utility commands? There is just a table in document UM2058 with very little detail. One has to guess and use the error messages from Python to try to figure out the command parameters and figure out the return values and what the commands do.
