SensorTile BLE GATT Characteristic Editing

Hi,

When editing the GATT characteristic in the provided software for the SensorTile, I cannot increase the size of the payload being transmitted. Even after altering the charValueLen variable, this doesn't appear to affect the length of the packet being sent (In screenshots below edited to be increased to 40 Bytes instead of 8 Bytes):

 

If there is another variable I'm missing to increase the packet length could somebody help me out?
