Hi, The current design requirements for a Fire Panel system, demand power line communication over a distance of more than 1.2 km. More than 254 devices (detectors) would be interfaced to the main control panel. Suggest possible feasible solution for the above mentioned design specifications and share the relevant files. Also please specify the baud rate that would be maintained for the specified suggestions. Thanks.

A differential signaling scheme like LVDS is going to perform best. A USAT signal over LVDS can work. Without repeaters, baud rate will be limited.
