IR STHS34PF80 - False motion detect on external envinronment (wind and/or sun)

Hello,

we use STHS34PF80 sensor as little animals detector (FOV ~ 20cm) and we have problem with false motion detection on outside. When we have sunny day the sensor goes crazy and output random MOT_FLAG signals. We have try to change LPF_P_M and LPF_M filters but without success. Also we try to change motion threshold and motion hysteresis also without success.
Is any solution for this problem?

STHS34PF80 is based on IR technology and using it in outdoor applications you could have some unexpected IR reflections which cause more noise.

@Federica Bossi we know that, but we are looking for solution. We need to eliminate that problem.

We are a startup developing IoT devices. We are currently closing the prototype phase and starting mass production. Planned volume of devices - 20 million by the end of 2029.
