LSM6DSO(X) SPI communication problems

Hello!

I have a working version of the chips with the marking on the surface "S4 052"
Recently we've received a new batch of LSM6DSO(X) chips - they don't respons to ID requests via SPI. The marking on the surface of the new chips is "S4 148".

What the second number (148) on the surface means? What can be the problem with SPI communication?

Best regards!

Thank's for the reply!

The scan returned the number "2600003382". What does it mean?
Still unable to understand the problem with silence on MISO pin using the same firmware on board. MCU gives correct signals on MOSI and SCLK lines. Power is good

See 5.1.2 SPI bus interface (DS12140):

  • CS is the serial port enable and it is controlled by the SPI master. It goes low at the start of the transmission and goes back high at the end.
  • SPI 16 bits

4.4 Communication interface characteristics:

  • tsu - SDI input setup time: 5ns min.
  • SPI clock frequency: 10MHz max.

Hi @Mappy ,

did you perform a continuity test on the board?

maybe there is a problem there
