Hello, we have bought the NPN transistor 2N5154RSRHRG. At your datasheet, page 1, product summary, you mention that for this part the emitter is on pin 1. But on table 7, page 10, you mention that the emitter is on pin2. Could you please clarify that

Oh, it looks like there's a typo in the data sheet: page 1, Product Summary, mentioned in the last two lines:

  • 2N5154RSRHRx, ESCC, 5203/010, SMD.5, 100 krad, LDR, emitter on pin 1
  • 2N5154SRHRx, ESCC, 5203/010, SMD.5, Emitter on pin 2

should be read as:

  • 2N5154RSRHRx, ESCC, 5203/010, SMD.5, 100 krad, LDR, emitter on pin 2
  • 2N5154SRHRx, ESCC, 5203/010, SMD.5, Emitter on pin 2

But table 7, ordering information correctly lists the options of the pin-out.

Yes, you can use your diagram with the red marked pin numbers for this part number.

/Peter

Welcome, @PKala.3, to the community!

On pages 1 and 9 of the data sheet you will find the note "base and emitter are inverted for 2N5154RSRHRx and 2N5154SRHRx series".

The word inverted is a bit unfortunate, because it actually refers to a logical function, but here it means the exchanged function of base and emitter.

Does it answer your question?

Regards

/Peter

Dear Mr. Bensch,

Thank you for your reply.

Could you please confirm that on the P/N: 2N5154RSRHRG, the emitter is on pin2 and not on pin1 (as it is mentioned on the table of Product Summary (column ‘Remarks’))?

Can we use the following diagram for this part number?0693W00000QNOKjQAP.png

Freundliche Grüsse / Kind regards
