ST10F269 as gateway: how to read out eeprom/optical controller connected through i2c

Dear all.

I have a mainboard with ST10 MCU (automotive). It connects to a eeprom and optical controller through i2c I believe. I know you can program this eeprom/optical controller over uart and can but how?

Reading, flashing ST10 is not a problem but how to access other devices connected to this st10.

My understanding is that you should be able to access it through UART or Jtag? And if so, how to start.

Any thoughts would be highly appreciated
