About the TS3330AMR
The TS3330AMR has a voltage reference, but the internal configuration of the IC is unclear.
Is a reverse bypass diode, like the reverse voltage protection of a linear regulator, unnecessary?

Well, the data sheet clearly states in the absolute maximum ratings (table 1):
VOUT (Maximum voltage on the output pin) -0.3V to VIN +0.3V
So if the input voltage drops to zero and the output voltage of 3V is still present at the output due to large capacitors, for example, the max rating is violated without the Schottky diode mentioned.
