As @Community member said the date code is "944" : the year is ending with 9, and the 44th week.

So the year can be 1989, 1999, 2009, 2019,

The datasheet I know doesn't have an history and date is 2003. The date of the chip is therefore probably 2009 or 2019.

The 99 is a packaging facility

944 is the YEAR/WEEK CODE, so 2019, 2009, ..
