Diode IFSM estimation

I need to estimate IFSM for certain current pulse.

Does anyone know how to do it?

I found this app note :

But it is not clear the method as intervals are weird :

I ^4 x t = Cste for tsin>10 ms

I ^3 x t = Cste for 20 µs < tsin >10 ms

I ^2 x t = Cste for tsin<20 ms

and not sure if this is also applicable for standard diodes.

In addition, I wonder how to derate for different temperature in case datasheet does not contain this information.
