Solved

I have been waiting months for VNH7100ASTR, IC MOTOR DRIVER 4V-28V 16SOIC and now it has become obsolete. Does anyone know of a direct replacement for it. We currently have inventory of the PCB so would be difficult to change the footprint.

Welcome, @Dmart.1, to the community!

We are very sorry for the inconvenience!

However, the VNH7100ASTR has not yet been discontinued, but has been set to NRND (Not Recommended for New Design) for the time being. If necessary, it can be replaced by the VNH7100BASTR, which, however, has some slightly different parameters that would have to be checked for suitability, e.g.

  • table 1, footnote 1
  • current sense min/max values of K0, K2, K3 (table 10)
  • Isenseh (table 10)
  • On-State fault condition for INA=INB=1 (table 12)

Does it answer your question?

Regards

/Peter
