Replace L6569 in an electronic ballast with L6571

Hello,

Can I directly replace L6569 with L6571 High Voltage Half Bridge Driver with oscillator?
I've notice that in L6571 doesn't have the internal bootstrap driver.

Welcome @pleite, to the community!

The L6569 was discontinued years ago. However, you should be able to replace the L6569 with the L6571 if you connect the external bootstrap diode (fast recovery one) between Vs and BOOT, which the L6569 does not need because of the internal synchronous bootstrap driver.

Please note, however, that the dead time of the L6571B is 0.72µs, whereas the L6569 had a dead time of 1.25µs.
