Stacking TVS Diodes onto Resistors for Space Saving

Hello we have a need to string the SMAJ58A-TR TVS Diodes with some chip resistors in parallel and I'm wondering if we could physically stack the diodes on top of the resistors due to limited board space. If so, what resistor package would be ideal and if you have any documentation on this that would be wonderful.

Welcome @frankplatt, to the community!

I have just come across your older question: if it is still relevant, there is no documentation for it. Such constellations are difficult to handle because chip resistors do not have a defined surface for soldering, which makes the process very expensive to implement. The common method would be to place the resistor and TVS on the top and bottom of the board.
