STPM801 with a I2t characteristic

In our application we use the STPM801 as a switch and fuse. The fuse characteristic is, by default, very linear (except some filter/blanking times).

Is it possible to give the fuse a I2t characteristic like old fashioned fuses/thermal fuses?

I did experiment with a 1st order RC filter between the shunt resistor and the Sense and Out pins. Unfortunately doesn't work. With the resistor in the sense-track an over current error is detected and with the resistor in the out-track an ORING VDS error is detected.

Is there any possibility to have a I2t characteristic available with the STPM801?

(Detailed measurements are available.)
