UC3845 Mosfet driver IC can support Non isolated converter?

Dear Engineers pls comment on my Querys.... Is it possible for UC3845 Mosfet driver IC to accommodate non-isolated converters? Additionally, could you please clarify which can control MOSFET switches in a Buck converter?

The UC3845 is an ancient device from the last millennium, but its variants are still being discussed in universities because of its universality. If your question has anything to do with this, because it sounds very much like an exercise:

• have a look at the data sheet and compare the UC3845 with the other variants UC3842 and UC3843
• what is the alternative name for a non-isolated converter?
• what duty cycle range would something like this work with?

And to your second question:

• what does the topology of a buck converter look like, i.e. where is the switch located?
• how must the switch be controlled?
• how can this be realized with the two basic types of MOSFETs?
