Question

Can STEVAL-ESC001V1 Drive Low-Voltage (3-6V, 0.5A) Motors?

"Hello,

I am using the STEVAL-ESC001V1 motor controller and I would like to know if it can be used to drive a low-voltage motor (3-6V) with a maximum current of 0.5A. The motor is a small brushless DC motor, and I want to confirm whether this ESC is suitable for such low power requirements.

Will the controller function correctly, or are there any limitations due to the voltage and current mismatch?

Thank you!"

The STEVAL-ESC001V1 works in the voltage range 11...22V, so it cannot be used for your voltage range.

For 3...6V, 0.5A you can use the STSPIN250, for which the X-NUCLEO-IHM13A1 is available.

    Hope that helps?

    Good luck!
