EVSPIN32G4 – Motor 2 not rotating in Sensorless FOC (works in MC Workbench 6.3.2 but not in 6.4.1)

I’m using the EVSPIN32G4 dual motor control board with MotorControl Workbench 6.4.1 in Sensorless FOC mode.

Both motors have identical configurations, but Motor 2 doesn’t rotate when using Workbench 6.4.1.
The same setup works perfectly in Workbench 6.3.2, where both motors run normally.

Hardware and wiring are fine — this seems to be a software or code-generation issue in Workbench 6.4.1 for dual-motor projects.

Can you please confirm if this is a known issue or regression in version 6.4.1, and suggest a fix or workaround?

Setup Summary:

  • Board: EVSPIN32G4

  • Mode: Sensorless FOC, Dual Motor

  • MC Workbench: 6.4.1 (issue), 6.3.2 (working)

  • IDE: STM32CubeIDE 1.19.0

Hello @Chandana_Arava,

Is an error reported?
From my side, both motors operate with the same configuration in STO-PLL.
Can you share your .stwb6 file?

Hello @Chandana_Arava,

The M2 driving topology has been modified for your use case. As mentioned in the workbench tool, hardware modifications must be implemented.

Using your STWB6, with the default driving topology (U, V, W, shared enable) and without hardware board modification, the M2 motor spins.

Hello @GMA ,

In this case, I am using the M1 modified driving topology, as shown in the attached file. Should I modify that file as well, or is it already suitable for M1?

Can you please conform the solution so that I can move forward.

Hello @Chandana_Arava,

Your last picture displays the M2 settings, not the M1 settings.
In your Ready_to_sky_920KV_Dual_V2.stwb6 file, you are using the default configuration for M1, while the M2 configuration has been modified. For M2, hardware modifications must be performed as mentioned in:
