EVSPIN32G4 Should electrical angle interpolation be enabled or disabled ?

Hello St Community,

I am a user of the product EVSPIN32G4. I use this board with a 4 pole pairs brushless motor equipped with hall sensors. The motor spins a large fan blade.

I manage to make everything work but the start is jerky.

Since version MC workbench 6.1.1 a new option has appeared for the parameters of the hall sensors: disable electrical angle interpolation. When I use this my engine starts more smoothly.

I would like to know what exactly is happening, and why my startup is not good without this option. Thanks.
