Question

How to Achieve Maximum Torque and Speed of a BLDC Motor?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to run my BLDC motor to its maximum torque and speed limits as specified in the datasheet. I’ve increased the supply voltage, but the motor still won’t reach these limits.

Details:

  • Using [motor/controller model, e.g., "IHM17M1 and Motor Control Workbench"].
  • Motor performs well within rated limits, but I can’t exceed them even with higher voltage.

Questions:

  1. Why isn't the motor reaching its datasheet-specified maximum limits?
  2. Are there specific settings in [software, e.g., "Motor Pilot or Workbench"] I need to adjust?
  3. Could controller or firmware constraints be the issue?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
