How to assign internal pin PE15 as driver protection for custom STSPIN32G4 inverter board?

To clarify the details about my environment:
STMC Board Designer v1.0.0
Motor Control WorkBench v6.3.2

Now to my question:
For the STSPIN32G4 Eval board example, the PE15 Pin is assigned for driver protection trigger input.
This makes sense, because the datasheet of the STSPIN32G4 also indicates PE15 as the internally connected fault timer input pin.

But when I try to create a custom inverter board, I can only select pins that are also available on the package itself.
Since PE15 is only internally connected, I can't select it.

How can I assign the pin in the board specification?

Any help is welcome :)

Best regards,
Daniel

Hello @daniel_belles and welcome to ST community,

For the moment, Board Designer tool does not handle internal connected pins.
Can you try to create your custom inverter board from a duplication of the EVSPIN32G4 board?

Hello @GMA,

thanks for your quick answer and clarification about the internally connected pins.
If modifying the example board is the only way, I will try it.
Would it also be possible to directly edit the JSON board file and tweak the pin configuration there?
In this case I could modify the already created board instead of copying all the changes we made to a new board again.

Best regards,
Daniel

Hello @daniel_belles,

You can edit it. STMC Board Manager tool could help.
