Question

Is it feasible to control two motors with one STM32G473xx MCU?

Hi Everyone,

How can we determine if the computational power of only one STM32G473xx MCU is sufficient for controlling two PMSM motors? System clock is 168 MHz.However, is a good estimation technique available? Motor commutation will be based on field-oriented control, FOC. The Hall signals will be captured using the advanced timers 1 and 8.

Hello @SDura.2,

Firstly, we would like to sincerely apologize for the delay in replying to your post.
If your point is still pertinent, you can notice that one of our dual drive solutions, STM32G474E-EVAL is STM32G474xx MCU based.
On Motor Control side, HRTIMER available on STM32G474 and not on STM32G473, is not used.
