Is it possible to remove PID from BLDC 6 step SDK

Hello, I am working on a project that requires control the motor speed by adjusting bus voltage. The PWM width shall be consistent. The motor bus voltage is controlled by another ST micro. Is this a possible approach? What documents/ examples I can refer to? Any feedback is greatly appreciated
