Hello,

I'm going to buy Nucleo-446RE and IHM08M1 board and do FOC position control.
I'm going to analyze the code and practice using the ST Motor Control SDK.
For questions, I would like to receive a recommendation for a motor that can be programmed without purchasing an additional speed sensor among the PMSM motors on the ST Motor Control SDK.
Is it only possible to operate with the Incremental encoder when I don't know the initial Pole location?
Please recommend

Encoder Speed Sensing could be used without absolute position signal, refer to User Manual documentation available through "Workbench tool">About>Documentations>Documentation>"User manual" tab, "Quadrature Encoder sensor feedback processing" link for more detail.
