I am trying to spin a new motor with motor pilot using EVSPIN32G4. I am not able to run it. Hitting startup failure.

Is there any quick and easy tuning guide available to tune a new motor and run smoothly?

Hello @Sanchari,

Error description and management are detailed in the FOC firmware errors chapter of the user manual, accessible through Workbench tool > About > Documentations > Documentation.
MC Workbench displays all available current topologies for a specific hardware.

Hello @Sanchari,

You can use the Motor Profiler tool embedded in MCSDK Workbench 6.4.1 to profile your motor.
Refer to the Workbench tool > About > Documentations > Documentation > User Manual, and the Motor Profiler Application Note link.

Refer to FOC Firmware errors link for error description and management.

Thanks for the Motor profiler description.

But if i want to set any features or get details about what all features are supported by the control code, from where to get that details?

Hello @Sanchari,

The User Manual describes the motor control features and is available in the previously mentioned documentation.

Hello @Sanchari,

Current sensing topologies depend on the board hardware configuration. Refer to the Board description - current sensing page for more details.

Is there any documentation for the fault details and how to remove them?

For Single shunt operation, I have removed R31, R32, R35, R36 from the EVSPIN32G4 EVM and Shorted JP1 and JP2 on the board. But I am not able to run motor as I am getting driver protection fault.

I see different OPAMP configurations details in the user guide but not able to find out how to select those in the workbench.

Please guide me do I need to change any more hardware connection or any software change is required?

Hi @GMA ,

Is there any update on the previously posted question?

Hello @Sanchari,

Did you use the Motor Profiler tool for your motor?
Why has the start-up profile table been customized? Have the full default Workbench settings been tested?
Did you review the overcurrent management section of the user manual FOC Error chapter?

Hi @GMA

I have used default MC workbench parameters and with that motor performance is better and frequency of occurrence of "Over_Current" fault has been reduced.

Now I want to test motor operation with higher PWM frequencies (more than default setting). Can you please let me know what all parameters need to be adjusted apart from the PWM frequency in workbench for smooth motor operation.
