STEVAL-SPIN3202 Correct positions of the jumpers

Dear ST,

Could you please advice on the correct positions of STEVAL-SPIN3202 jumpers to run an example with ST MotorPilot.

J9 - BOOT0 Open or closed?

 

J7 - RX - TX Open or closed, Could you please explain why would we need to connect RX and TX?

 

Which of the following ports is correct for use in ST MotorPilot? Seems that COM3?

Where can I download a bin file to test hardware for this board.

Welcome, @EShaw.1​, to the community!

1. J9: OPEN for normal operation. CLOSED: the embedded STM32 starts the bootloader of the embedded STM32F031C6 after power-up when J9 is closed.
2. J7: not to be closed, instead you get access to the RX/TX lines of the STSPIN32F0A, which are also connected to the onboard STLINK-V2/1, providing a virtual COM port.
3. The previously mentioned virtual COM port typically appears in the list of COM ports. It always shows its name "STMicroelectronics STLink Virtual COM Port" and the respective assigned COM port number, in case of your screenshot it is COM3.

I thought it is the case, but could not find it in any manuals.

I'll open another thread to ask questions regarding UART communication between ST MotorPilot and STEVAL-SPIN3202.
