STSPIN32G4 LPUART for MCP?

[VERSION]: 6.2.1
[TOOL]: MC WB, Board Manager
[DETAILS]: I'm working with a custom board using an STSPIN32G4. Can the LPUART on the STSPIN32G4 be used for the MCP (Motion Control Protocol)? When I try assigning the pins for the LPUART (PB10 and PC1) to UART_RX  and UART_TX in the Board Manager, and then create a project in the MC Workbench, I get an error, "Sorry, the selected hardware doesn't support this feature." If I use one of the USARTs then I don't get this error. I'd like to know if it's possible to use the LPUART for this purpose in the firmware.
