I'm currently working on a project using the IHM16M1 expansion board, and I would like to know the steps required to initialize the STSPIN830 motor driver

Hello @issihaam,

The best advice I can give you is to use the MCSDK available on st.com and to generate a project using an IHM16M1.

The MCSDK will generate a project with full sources, and you will be able to understand everything.
