CubeMX 6.12.0 & 6.12.1 MainProjectManager:1100 - Error after a good Download of DB/Firmware Package / Unzip File : DB.6.0.111.tar.bz2

Ubuntu 23.10

Tried to load an older project in 6.12.0, CubeMx Asked to convert or continue. Selecting continue.

IT start to unzip the tarball and then stops. cube has no error screen, but the log shows as follows

Updating to CubeMX 6.12.1 yields  the  same result. Looked up the tabrall and it can be opened.

Note: With the option MIGRATE could open the project.

Ubuntu 23.10 is not officially supported by STM32CubeMX. Below is the list of OS supported (in RN):

Thank you, but I very much doubt this has to do with Ubuntu. What points to that this is Ubuntu related ? anyone tried with an older Ubuntu version to NOT convert a project ?

Even 23.10 is already not supported by Canonical and dev system often need use latest releases of OSes for example for my particular device I need to interact with the device using the latest Linux kernel. Can't wait for ST to catch up.

I have the same problem under windows 10.

 

The downloadprocess take some minutes and quit without any improvement.

Sorry, I am using Ubuntu 24.10 now and MX works fine.  I think I recall it has to do with an issue in Eclipse, but can;d find it anymore. Perhaps you can try another java version. Here is mine
