STM32CubeMX directory structure not shown on MAC OS for certain folders

A very strange things happened when trying to browse (open a project) on most of the directories located on my MAC (OS Monterey on Apple M1 MAX):

  • I cannot see the folders structure when accessing Documents
  • I can see folders when accessing Pictures

The directories informations looks identical (see the pictures)

Can you please explain what is the reason? I use the latest STM32CubeMX.

Thanks,

Andrei

What worked for me is to add STM32 Cube MX to list of the apps that get allowed "full disk access" under System Preferences -> Privicay & Security -> Full Disk Access.

Hi @Community member , have you been able to solve this issue? I'm facing the same issue.

Any updates here. I have the same issue and believe it could be connected to security features of OS X and bad programming from ST side... The tool almost unusable since I can not load old files. On one installation of OS X (Monterey) I can't even store the file-settings.

Ye this solve the problem. I'm not sure how safe it is as CubMX can erase with no asking an entire directory...

But works!
