Thank you very much for your interest in our products.

I would like to clarify that this is a demo board for evaluation purpose and not a final product to be integrated in a system.

The system is designed to work at 44kHz and this frequency cannot be increased. Each audio amp has a capability of 45W with Integrated 108 dB D/A conversion. For more details on the audio amp, please check the following page:

The sound shifting algorithm is based on sample skipping therefore the limits are given by the number of samples itself.

The board can be connected and operated via CAN bus.

I do not have the current consumption at no load, but maximum current in the output of audio amp is around 1.6-1.7A

A: The 44kHz is the audio frequency typical of CD audio, clearly you can decrease it but you need to re-sample your audio file with the new audio frequency. The other point to care is the power dissipation in the audio amp if the frequency is low and the PWM becomes almost always on. Please note that we have not tested the board with such extreme low frequency.

Q : How many number of samples are available ?

A: The number of samples is based on the sampling at 44KHz x 32 bit each sample for total time of around 1 sec. This is to fit the Flash memory of the micro. Clearly this limit can be modified by sending chunk of audio samples through the CAN and using the SPC582B only for buffering. In this last case, the software needs to be modified.

We are experimenting with the kit using the sample application- (SPC582Bxx_RLA_AEK_AUD_C1D9031 - Avas Compact - Test Application)

We want to externally communicate with CAN channel for feeding Vehicle Speed and Motor RPM to generate the required sound.

Therefore, we would like to know about the CAN message configuration required (Baud Rate, Identifier, Value Map with respect to Speed and RPM)

Dear Mr. Siva,

Just import the "SPC58ECxx_RLA_MainEcuForAVASControl - Test Application" application in SPC5Studio with AutoDevKit and you will find in the CAN section the configuration. This demo is conceived to work based on commands of an LCD screen that we have not released yet, but you can try to use a standard one on the market or just remove the control from the LCD. This demo is conceived for AEK-MCU-C4MLIT1 but can be ported on other micros too and it works with the AVAS compact solution AEK-AUD-C1D9031.
