"Hi,

We are building hardware with the SPC58EG80E5 MCU. For debugging purposes, we plan to use the UDESTK-EVAL kit. However, on the product page, it states that it is "not recommended for new designs." What alternative options can we consider?"

Hi,

Keep tuned, we are industrializing a new dedicated dongle for SPC58x microcontrollers.

The name is AEK-MCU-SPC5LNK and it is pluggable on the JTAG connector. It should be available in stores by end of Feb. 2024.

This dongle will enable the OpenOCD programmer and debugger that is completely free-of-charge (no code limits).

You can start to have a look in AutoDevKit Studio (www.st.com/autodevkitsw) where there is a small video training on OpenOCD installation.

Best Regards,
