Hope all of you are well:Using the BlueNRG-232: I'm trying to figure out how to read 2 of the analog inputs. Ideally, I'd like to read both analog inputs and the battery voltage. It appears the only way to do this is set the ADC up to read only one. I've attempted polling for a period time, then re-initialize to read another input, but that seems to cause issues. I'm trying to use the SDK and have tried different combinations of ADC_DeInit, and reinitializing. Also, I'm using DMA - but the DMA portion seems to be working fine.Am I missing something? Is there an easier way to read more than on analog signal with this device?

Hi,Through some setup, I was able to access STUSB4500 using the GUI tool in STSW-STUSB002.After I set the second profile to 20V/5A, I connected a power supply with 5V/3A and 20V/3.25A PDO capability. But nothing changes and the voltage is unchanged at 5V.Is there any problem with my current configuration? I attached all the images from the GUI and my Schematics.There are 2 problems.1. As I mentioned above, the voltage doesn't change and only 5V is detected.2. I used DMP3018SFV Pch MOSFET, which is a direct replacement of STL6P3LLH6 MOSFET used in the STREF-scs001v1 board. When I measure the voltage between the pi filter inductor and the MOSFET, 500mV~2.8V is measured.

I am having X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 act as a mesh proxy node using firmware STM32CubeExpansion_BLEMESH1_V2.1.2 (X-CUBE_BLEMESH1) . Admittedly, this is going to be a challenge to answer since it appears what I'm doing is against the specification... but here it goes... hopefully someone at ST knows...Are most folks using these radios only in battery applications? I ask because the S2-LP SDK ends up *not* enabling the SMPS by default. I've verified this with a scope at the SMPS pins, a full radio register dump after calling to RadioInit(), as well as code inspection where nothing is calling RadioSetExternalSmpsMode(S_ENABLE). I only just noticed this and it's contrary to my layout which is in accordance with the SMPS-enabled circuit.This combination ends up putting 0V on SMPS1 and SMPS2 (because of the bypass caps) and 3.3v at VDD_SMPS.I assume having 0v on the SMPS pins has an adverse effect on TX. But I'm not transmitting so I don't care. Does having 0v on SMPS affect RX sensitivity?Thanks for your insights.

Hi All,There seems to be multiple bugs in the HCI implementation for WB series chips.Are there any newer builds of this image where these are fixed?Setup: Using reference dongle from P-NUCLEO-WB55.stm32wb5x_FUS_fw.bin latest version - 1.1.2stm32wb5x_BLE_HCILayer_fw.bin - v1.10.0All bugs can be reproduced in STM32MONRF tool.The following bugs are present:1) When sending the HCI_HOST_BUFFER_SIZE, the stack responds with COMMAND_STATUS. This is incorrect. As the spec states: "When the Host_Buffer_Size command has completed, a Command Complete event shall be generated." (Spec 5.0, page 957).Treating the COMMAND_STATUS as COMMAND_COMPLETE fixes the problem, however this is no according to spec.1a) There is actually a secondary bug here in the RF MON tool: The default parameters suggested have "Host_Total_Num_ACL_Data_Packets" set to zero by default, which of course will not be accepted. Hello all,I have fond a fatal flaw in the 2.x BT library that comes with the latest SDK:STSW-BLUENRG1-DK 3.2.1Setup: bluenrg2, external balunProblem: When connecting a device using initial connection parameters with very small connection intervals (min = 7ms), the stack sometimes ends up in a connection limbo state where the stack (and the app) gets confused.It appears to be a race and is triggered like this:1) The stack emits a normal hci_le_connection_complete_event() with status 0 (zero).2) The remote end (a dongle in a PC) clearly signals on HCI level that the connection first succeeded with status 0 (success), but shortly after gets a "disconnection complete" with error code "0x3e" = "Reason: Connection Failed to be Established". This is a normal scenario if connection timeouts occur during the initial connection itself, and this has also been observed on other stacks/chipsets.3) Locally (on the bluenrg2), the stack the does _not_ signal signal "hci_disconnection_complete_event" c

Hello.I'm using STEVAL-IDB011V1. From the BlueNRG-LP Navigator, I can load the examples on the board. But when I'm using the Keil, it says "SWD/JTAG Communication Failure".On the options for target in the tab "Device" the device is BlueNRG-355, and the Software Pack is "Keil.STBlueNRG-LP_DFP.2.0.0". In the tab "Debug" it uses "CMSIS-DAP Debugger".My friend has no problems with that, and we didn't find any differences between our settings.I also updated the Keil version, and it didn't help.Thanks.

I am currently using a X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 to experiment with the BlueNRG-2. I initially set the SPI rate to 1.25 Mbit/s, but later noticed in the BlueNRG-2 documentation that the maximum SPI rate is 1Mbit/s. My question is how strict is this SPI rate limit, and what is the reason for it (hardware limitations, software limitations)? So far, I've run a number of the examples with no noticeable issues at 1.25 Mbit/s. The MCU I am using has a maximum system clock of 80 MHz. Using the SPI prescalers, the highest SPI frequency I can achieve within the 1 Mbit/s limit is 625 KBits/s. I am hesitant to do this because I don't want to potentially limit the bandwidth of the BLE interface. It seems the only way to achieve the 1 Mbit/s rate is to reduce the system clock for the MCU itself (which would affect the entire application). Ideally, if the BlueNRG-2 could run fine at the slightly higher rate of 1.25 MBit/s (as it currently seems to be doing), it would be the best option.

I am currently using the X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 to experiment with the BlueNRG-2. Using the getBlueNRGVersion function, I see that the hardware version is 0x12 and the firmware version is 0x2211 and had some questions on how to interpret this:I believe the hardware version represents bluetooth 5.0, but how is the firmware version interpreted? (I found some information in DT0074 that makes me think 0x2211 corresponds to V3.4.1a, but I didn't find any image with that version number on the ST website).The X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 is listed as bluetooth 5.0 compliant, while the standalone BlueNRG-2 is listed as bluetooth 5.2 compliant. Hello,I'm trying to follow the test procedure for BlueNRG-MS (SPI) indicated in the Bringing up the BlueNRG and BlueNRG-MS devices - Application note (AN4494).I'm using an STEVAL-IDB005V1D board (with a BLUENRG-MS chip) and an NUCLEO-F446RE board to read SPI signals.Here is the test procedure (page 5/32 of AN4494) :A BlueNRG hardware reset, performed by the microcontroller, generates an ACI event with a sequence described below and shown in Figure 3. BlueNRG SPI transaction on HW reset: 1. Release of hardware reset -> OK✔�? 2. IRQ goes high to signal an event from BlueNRG (if this signal is not present, it means that the BlueNRG firmware for some reason is not running) -> OK✔�? 3. The external microcontroller lowers CS to access the BlueNRG and read the event -> OK✔�? 4. The microcontroller reads 5 bytes from SPI; they should be [02,7F,00,00,00] -> OK✔�? 5. Hi ST,I had a question in regards to the x-cube BLE stack.While looking at the stack for the BlueNRG-M2SA I noticed that the BLE functionality (MX_BlueNRG_2_Process) was running in the MAIN inside of a while 1 loopMy question though, our system is running on FreeRTOS (configured from the STM32CubeIDE) and is having a cyclic 10 and 100mSec tasks, and wanted to know if there is a variant of the BLE stacks for FreeRTOS that we could integrate?Thanks!
