Hello,

Can the IMP23ABSUTR sensor go through a vapor phase oven?"

Thx.

    Hi @Moe_Rice ,

it is not recommended to solder microphones with that technique, because they have a hole through which contamination enters. I suggest you use IR reflow ovens.

Did you look at the "Soldering Information" section in the datasheet?

    Hello,

The datasheet does not specifically mention vapor phase soldering. It generally refers to the compatibility of the IMP23ABSUTR sensor with the reflow soldering process and provides a recommended thermal profile for lead-free (Pb-free) soldering.

The term "vapor phase" is not explicitly mentioned in the documentation, and the information provided mainly concerns temperature parameters, preheat time, duration above the melting temperature, and peak temperature. In my opinion, these guidelines could potentially be adapted to different types of reflow processes, including vapor phase soldering, but this would require specific validation.

    Thx

Sounds like that should be explicitly explained in the datasheet?
