First I say Hello to all! Sorry for my english, it's not my native language.

I wonder why iNEMO v2 uses two of ANALOG gyro if STm now has complete 3-axis digital solution (L3G4200D)? why its not used, what advantages Analog gyro over digital?

Thanks for advice.

Yuri.

    Hi Yuri,

    You are welcome.

L3G4200D was under development during iNEMO design phase.

Main advantages of digital gyro are:

16 bit-rate value data output and embedded FIFO with consequent reduction of power consumption  and extreme flexibility in management of output data .

Up to  2000dps of full scale range.

Single mechanical sensing element for Yaw, Roll and Pitch that is able to guarantee a ultra-stable sensing of rotations.

Compact size of complete 3-axis solution (LGA-16 4x4x1.1mm)

    Best,

    Fabio
