Different perofmance mode of LSM6DSO32

Hi all,

I'am working with an LSM6DSO32, I read this AN5473 at page 13 and 14 we have 2 tables comparing different operating modes. I have a question for gyroscope for example if I chosse ODR 208Hz with G_HM_MODE = 1 I'am in a normal mode, and if I set G_HM_MODE = 0 I'll be in high perf mode. What's the difference between normal and high perf with same ODR frequency?

In high perf I'll have better result, more precise ?

    I'm sorry, I replied without fully explaining.

    there are other difference between high performance mode and the others, basically on characterization level:

    if you check table 3 (page 26) of the datasheet, you can see that the sensor is characterized with noise density in high performance mode and RMS noise in the others.

    the high performance mode lets you have an overall better signal that has been characterized in a different way.

    the stability of the signal comes with a higher power consumption, so it is just a trade-off between those two aspects.

    the difference lies in power consumption: you can check the differences in table 4 of the datasheet.

    Thanks for your answer. So if I've correctly understood, there is not changes between 208Hz normal mode ans 208Hz high perf, the only changes is power consumption?

    So there is no advantages to use high perf if the same ODR frenquency existing in normal mode ?
