H3lis331dl producing 0 values

Hi, I'm working on H3LIS331DL MEMS sensor, which is interfaced with PIC microcontroller's SPI. Some sensors are working fine by giving appropriate value in all 3 axis,  but for same configuration and interface i am getting 0 values in all 3 axis in some sensors. Whether it may be a sensor issue, How to check its working with these 0 values

I would suggest to check the signals with a scope, especially MISO.

I suppose there is no answer at all in those cases, interpreted as zeroes.

And, because it sounds like self-made hardware, I would check current draw, voltage levels, and IC orientation.
