How to improve ToF VL6180x field of view

i recently conduct a scanning process using ToF sensor. I put a object which i expects 90 degrees square wave as output. But i eventually got a curve slope that is totally different from what i expect. Kindly advise on this and suggestion to improve, or am i using it in a wrong way?
