Question

I am using IIS3DWB accelerometer for condition monitoring. In order to offset DC I intend to use HP filter ODR/800 which gives me high pass cutoff 33Hz. I wonder how to capture frequencies for a range below 33.3Hz (equipment running at 1500rpm (25Hz)

I intend to use IIS3DWB accelerometer for machine vibration monitoring. In order to offset DC I intend to use HP filter ODR/800 which gives me high pass cutoff 33Hz. I wonder how to capture frequencies for a range below 33.3Hz (equipment running at 1500rpm (25Hz)? If I don't use HP filter, there is always DC component. Is there any way to capture low running frequencies while applying HP filter too?

Hi, if your only concern is the DC component you may compute it and substract it from the measurement in the firmware, without need of using a HPF
