iNemo STEVAL-MKI062V2 AHRS Mode

This board supports an ''AHRS'' mode, but on my computer the option is grayed out. I am running V2 of the board which is supposed to support this mode. Is there some addional firmware that must be loaded? If so, where do I get it and how do I load it?

Hi Al,

Probably firmware upgrading is necessary, here below the procedure:

1. Download and install the Dfuse from  the URL: 

   http://www.st.com/internet/evalboard/product/250367.jsp

2. Run the DFU demo application
3. Start the device in DFU mode --> Plug in the USB cable pressing the button (SW2)
4. The device is recognized as a DFU device. Select the iNEMOV2_Firmware_PackageV2.0.0_AHRS.dfu file from installation folder of the iNEMOâ„¢ suite application under the Firmware/DFU image folder and upgrade

5. Press Leave DFU mode

6. Check the Device Manager now. In ports, you should now find the STEVAL-MKI062V2 device connected
7. Run the iNEMOâ„¢ application

Hi Fabio

I upgraded my iNemo STEVAL-MKI062V2 with the file ''iNEMOV2_Firmware_PackageV2.0.0_AHRS.dfu'', but the AHRS stays greyed out in the iNemo Suite GUI, any reason why we can't use the AHRS mode ?

Hi Philip,

First, check about correct upgrading of firmware trought Help>About menu of Suite (with the board connected).

Below the versions of Suite Ver.2.0.0, as reference:

ControlLibrary Ver. 2.0.04

ControlLibrary.MKI062V2 Ver. 2.0.0

iNEMO 2 SDK for STEVAL-MKI062V2 Ver. 1.6.0

TL_002 Frame Transport Layer Ver. 1.0.0

PL_001 Dynamic Link Library Ver. 1.1.2

Firmware :iNEMO Firmware_Version_2.0.0 - iNEMO AHRS ENABLE V1.2.0

Hardware :iNEMO V2 Hardware_Version_1

After, you kindly follow this simple sequence:

1)

Connect the board to USB

2)

Open the Suite and connect the board to the virtual COM (pag.8 of attached UM1010)

3)

Push the

Connect Icon the communication between Suite and Board(fig.10)

4)

Set the acquisition mode to AHRS from

Tools>Communication>Mode(pag.12)

5)

Select the acquisition mode (sample/continuous) and push the

Play Icon

6)

Now all is ready for launch the 3D Demo cube in AHR mode

Everything  is working now!

You need to be connected BEFORE you can change the mode !!
